Morning Routine + All-Time Favorite Pajamas!

I can't express enough how important I feel it is to start (and end) each day in God's word...

When I moved back to San Diego, I found myself in a not so great spot. And I felt the calling to grow my relationship with the Lord. It's commonly advised that the best way to build this relationship is by starting and ending each day in His word.

So I got in the habit of starting every morning reading my bible alongside reading the First 5 App.

What is the First 5 App? In that not-so-great-spot, my sister gave me a book - Uninvited by Lysa TerKeurst. I was AMAZED at how she basically took every feeling I was experiencing and put it into words... in a published book. Immediately, I... craved... more! So I looked her up and found out that she is the president of the Proverbs 31 Ministries. And in my search for a daily devotional type of program / plan, I came across the First 5 App via the P31 website. I AM OBSESSED!

They have, and are currently devising, "lessons" for each book in the Bible. So what I do is open up the app, go to my current plan, read the chapter for the book I'm studying (in my Bible), then read the lesson of the day. Sometimes the lessons are audio - great to listen to in the car or when you're out walking the dog! I just adore their team of writers! They do a really great job.

I got my journal as a gift from a bestie (thanks Alysia!) and the Bible was also a gift from a close family friend (thanks Mama Box!). She even had my name engraved onto the cover! And I bought the same one for my sister! I love that it has an additional life-application component to it. Sometimes, I write those lessons into my journal to remind myself of a specific teaching.

As for the pajamas, they're from Victoria's Secret and they are my ABSOLUTE favorite! They are super soft and reasonably priced! I've always love Victoria's Secret line of pajamas. And I always ask my parents for a new set for Christmas every year, so I have quite the collection!

Anyway, I encourage those of you looking for hope, looking to learn about a loving relationship, looking for comfort to delve into God's word. And utilize tools, like the First 5 App, to help you better understand His word and His purpose for your life! I promise you won't regret it!
